Man is not an aquatic animal, but from the time we stand in youthful wonder beside a Spring brook till we sit in old age and watch the endless roll of the sea, we feel a strong kinship with the waters of this world

This is one of the most beautiful water gardens I've ever seen:

The slideshow pictures in this serene and beautiful wooded garden with waterfalls and ponds are compliments of a lady who calls herself "Hickory Rose". She lives in Chatanooga, Tennessee and was one of the most outstanding contributors of 'Webshots'. This was without a doubt, the best photo sharing site the world-wide web has ever known.

She graciously emailed me permission to use them before Webshots was taken from us by the new ownership of 'Smile' along with the ability to share the joys and photographic endeavors with each other, both strangers and friends, and to the great disappointment of everyone who enjoyed it for so many years.

Here's three different ways you can have one:

#1 - Purchase one ready-made
#2 - Build your own (instructional video below)
#3 - Hire a contractor

If you're adventurous and creative, you may enjoy the challenge of creating your own waterfall for your pond. Below is a video showing how you can do that.

Landscaping with Waterfalls and Ponds creates an absolute oasis of peace and tranquility more than anything else. It's truly a sound garden, and whether you enjoy the bubbling sound of a waterfall, or the relaxing serenity of a pond, there's no better place to be than losing yourself in the calm of water.

I have researched literally thousands of photos, books and ideas over the years and have built this website to share my years of experience and all my hours of research with you.

Whether it's decorative stone landscaping around your water elements or the specifics of landscaping with waterfalls and ponds, I have found some amazing photos and design ideas I think will delight you as much as they did me.

I hope you enjoyed this water garden journey as much as I did!
