• Wheelbarrow, large stainless steel bowl (to work in smaller steps) or large plastic utility bucket.

  • 60# bag of pre-mix cement, mortar or stucco mix (one bag yields about three stepping stone "segments".
  • Shovel
  • Gloves
  • Plastic sheeting or landscape fabric
  • Mold release. Any oily spray such as silicone or vegetable oil cooking spray.
  • Optional-- cement pigments. These can be purchased online, at home improvement centers or some hardware stores.
  • Optional-- flat colored glass discs, sea shells, decorative rock or pea gravel to top your stones and a small tub of grout if you wish to use that in the cracks between your stones.

  • Time: approximately 1/2 hour per stone
